Our Systems
We use modern technology to mange and deliver services to our customers. We have developed a school travel database and school travel app. The app allows us to track all our services and provides live bus information to schools, parents and students. Our database includes a text messaging service to communicate any delays to passengers in real time, and email communication informing parents of service changes or planned roadwork disruption.
Our bus pass system allows us to record bus pass use, when a student boarded and alighted the vehicle and what time the bus arrived and departed each bus stop and the school. This information helps to investigate early and late operation really simply and quickly and with complete confidence, and also improves child safeguarding.
Our bespoke database was specifically developed for school transport. The system manages all aspects of the service including bus pass payments, bus pass printing and service reporting. The system is linked to the school travel app so that actual bus usage can be reported for each service. The system also holds operational information such as driver and vehicle id which works together with the school travel app to ensure that only registered vehicles and drivers are working on the services.
We also use a route planning software called QRoutes that provides the most efficient and effective route planning, maximizing route efficiency and vehicle capacities.
